Temporary Bridge Solution During Renovation of Zwanenbrug in Halfweg

For the renovation of the existing movable section of the Zwanenbrug in Halfweg, it was essential that local traffic—including bus routes and emergency services such as the fire department—could continue to use the bridge connection over the Ringvaart canal of Haarlemmermeer.

Commissioned by Spie Nederland, we constructed a temporary bridge structure on and over the existing abutments. To ensure a smooth connection to the elevated temporary bridge deck, our client installed ramps made of cold asphalt. This solution allowed the bridge to be easily dismantled after the rental period, without causing damage to the original road surface.
